     Rebecca Mary Peirce was the daughter of Thomas Peirce.² She married Maj.-Gen. Henry Smyth, son of John Henry Smyth and Lady Elizabeth Anne FitzRoy, on 28 June 1865.¹ She died on 7 October 1889.¹
     From 28 June 1865, her married name became Smyth.

     William John Smyth was born on 2 May 1869.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Henry Smyth and Rebecca Mary Peirce.² He married Lilian May Clifford, daughter of Captain Henry Clifford, on 25 February 1893.¹ He died at Burma.¹
     He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was in the Indian Civil Service.¹

     Captain Henry Clifford gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹

     Lilian May Clifford was the daughter of Captain Henry Clifford.² She married William John Smyth, son of Maj.-Gen. Henry Smyth and Rebecca Mary Peirce, on 25 February 1893.¹ She died on 22 July 1956.¹
     From 25 February 1893, her married name became Smyth.

     Rosie Caroline Mary Carnegie was born on 29 May 2007.¹ She is the daughter of W. James C. Carnegie and Emma Victoria de Zoete.¹

     Herbert Edward FitzRoy Smyth was born on 12 September 1896.¹ He was the son of William John Smyth and Lilian May Clifford.² He married Peggy Warren Meade, daughter of Colonel Guy Warren Meade, on 2 June 1938.¹
     He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England.¹ He fought in the First World War, in Mesopotamia and North Russia.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1915 in the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1915.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1939 in the 1st Battalion, King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in France, Norway, Burma and Middle East, and was wounded twice.¹

     Reverend Lord George Osborne Townshend was born on 13 November 1801.¹ He was the son of Rt. Hon. Lord John Townshend and Georgina Ann Poyntz.¹ He married Jessie Victoria McKellar, daughter of Vice-Admiral John McKellar, in 1839.¹ He died on 7 September 1876 at age 74.¹
     He was granted the rank of a marquess’s younger son.¹

     Peggy Warren Meade is the daughter of Colonel Guy Warren Meade.² She married Herbert Edward FitzRoy Smyth, son of William John Smyth and Lilian May Clifford, on 2 June 1938.¹
     From 2 June 1938, her married name became Smyth.

     Anne Faith Smyth was born on 10 July 1939.¹ She is the daughter of Herbert Edward FitzRoy Smyth and Peggy Warren Meade.² She married Robert Edward Blois Johnson, son of William Blois Johnson, on 7 January 1961.¹
     From 7 January 1961, her married name became Johnson.
