     Sir Thomas Cecil Russell Moore, 1st Bt. was born on 16 September 1886.¹ He was the son of John Watt Moore and Mary Kirkpatrick.¹ He married, firstly, Jean Gemmill, daughter of William Gemmill, on 19 February 1925.¹ He married, secondly, Kathleen Penelope Sheppard, daughter of Lt.-Col. Samuel Guerney Sheppard, on 26 September 1950.¹ He died on 9 April 1971 at age 84.²
     He was educated at Portora Royal School, Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Ireland.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.¹ He gained the rank of Major.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ayr Burghs between 1925 and 1950.¹ He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1937.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ayr Division of Ayrshire and Bute between 1950 and 1964.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Moore, of Kyleburn, Ayrshire [U.K.] on 20 September 1956.¹ He held the office of Father of the House of Commons in 1964.¹

     Jean Gemmill was the daughter of William Gemmill.¹ She married, firstly, John Hislop Pettigrew before 1925.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Thomas Cecil Russell Moore, 1st Bt., son of John Watt Moore and Mary Kirkpatrick, on 19 February 1925.¹ She died on 6 February 1945.¹
     From before 1925, her married name became Pettigrew.¹ Her married name became Moore.

     William Gemmill died before 1963.

     Amanda Milward Trench was born on 21 September 1941.¹ She is the daughter of Brian Morley Crosbie Trench and Harriett Milward Agnew.¹ She married Jonathan Radice, son of Lawrence Wallace Radice and Patricia Heneage, on 15 April 1961.¹ She and Jonathan Radice were divorced in 1979.¹
