     Surgn.-Maj.-Gen. William Roche Rice was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.)¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹

     Ellen Mary Margaret Rice was the daughter of Surgn.-Maj.-Gen. William Roche Rice.² She married Lockhart Matthew St. Clair, son of James St. Clair, 5th/14th Lord Sinclair and Jane Little, on 30 July 1881.¹ She died on 1 February 1931.¹
     From 30 July 1881, her married name became St. Clair.

     James Chisholm Rice St. Clair was born on 22 March 1882.¹ He was the son of Lockhart Matthew St. Clair and Ellen Mary Margaret Rice.² He died on 11 August 1883 at age 1.¹

     Major William Lockhart St. Clair was born on 22 June 1883.¹ He was the son of Lockhart Matthew St. Clair and Ellen Mary Margaret Rice.² He married Dorothy Kate Northam, daughter of Victor Leopold Northam, on 4 October 1919.¹ He died on 23 February 1920 at age 36.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in 1914 in the Royal Field Artillery, in Togoland and Cameroons.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.¹

     Dorothy Kate Northam is the daughter of Victor Leopold Northam.² She married Major William Lockhart St. Clair, son of Lockhart Matthew St. Clair and Ellen Mary Margaret Rice, on 4 October 1919.¹
     From 4 October 1919, her married name became St. Clair.

     Maj.-Gen. George James Paul St. Clair was born on 29 June 1885.¹ He was the son of Lockhart Matthew St. Clair and Ellen Mary Margaret Rice.² He married Charlotte Theresa Orme Little, daughter of Major Archibald Cosmo Little and Lady Guendolen Theresa Chetwynd-Talbot, on 11 November 1911.¹ He died on 13 November 1955 at age 70.¹
     He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded and was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He gained the rank of Brigade-Major in 1916.¹ He was Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1944.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1945.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Artillery.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of GLoucestershire in 1953.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Gloucestershire in 1954.¹

     Charlotte Theresa Orme Little was the daughter of Major Archibald Cosmo Little and Lady Guendolen Theresa Chetwynd-Talbot.^1,2 She married Maj.-Gen. George James Paul St. Clair, son of Lockhart Matthew St. Clair and Ellen Mary Margaret Rice, on 11 November 1911.¹ She died on 5 February 1961.¹
     From 11 November 1911, her married name became St. Clair.

     Malcolm Archibald James St. Clair was born on 16 February 1927.¹ He is the son of Maj.-Gen. George James Paul St. Clair and Charlotte Theresa Orme Little.² He married Mary-Jean Rosalie Alice Hargreaves, daughter of W/Cdr. Caryl Liddell Hargreaves, on 11 June 1955.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He was a farmer.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Bristol South-East between 1961 and 1963, having fought the seat in 1959 and at a by-election in 1961 against Viscount Stansgate, being awarded the seat after an Election Petition.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel between 1967 and 1969 in the Royal Gloucestershire Hussars (Territorial Army.)¹ He lived in 2003 at The Priory, Long Newnton, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England.¹

     Mary-Jean Rosalie Alice Hargreaves is the daughter of W/Cdr. Caryl Liddell Hargreaves.¹ She married Malcolm Archibald James St. Clair, son of Maj.-Gen. George James Paul St. Clair and Charlotte Theresa Orme Little, on 11 June 1955.¹
     From 11 June 1955, her married name became St. Clair.
