     From 23 May 1964, her married name became Garratt Carp.

     Victor Alexander Carp was born on 12 October 1918 at Frodsham, Cheshire, England.2,3 He was the son of Reverend Alexander Nahum Carp and Beatrice M. Garratt.2,4 He married Yvonne Rita Sarah Frances Jesty on 1 March 1941 at St. Augustine’s, Bournemouth, Dorset, England.3 He died on 30 May 1942 at age 23 at Egypt, killed in action.2
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.3 He fought in the Second World War.5 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Tank Regiment.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1940 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)3

     He was registered as a Member, Institute of Chartered Accountants (A.C.A.)1
