     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was Registrar of the Supreme Court, Ceylon.¹

     Maud Mary Nelson was born on 20 November 1865.¹ She was the daughter of Rear-Admiral Hon. Maurice Horatio Nelson and Emily Burrard.¹ She died on 15 July 1943 at age 77, unmarried.¹

     Emily Frances Nelson was born on 22 March 1870.¹ She was the daughter of Rear-Admiral Hon. Maurice Horatio Nelson and Emily Burrard.¹ She married Charles Menzies McCausland on 6 December 1898.¹ She died on 21 July 1961 at age 91.¹
     Her married name became McCausland.

     Charles Menzies McCausland married Emily Frances Nelson, daughter of Rear-Admiral Hon. Maurice Horatio Nelson and Emily Burrard, on 6 December 1898.¹ He died in November 1899, without issue.¹
     He lived at Templestowe, Watawala, Sri Lanka^G.¹

     Alice Nelson was born on 30 April 1876.¹ She was the daughter of Rear-Admiral Hon. Maurice Horatio Nelson and Emily Burrard.¹ She died after 1966.²

     Reverend Hon. Edward Foyle Nelson was born on 11 November 1833.¹ He was the son of Thomas Nelson, 2nd Earl Nelson of Trafalgar and of Merton and Frances Elizabeth Eyre.¹ He died on 8 September 1859 at age 25.¹
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹

     Hon. Henry Nelson was born on 28 July 1835.¹ He was the son of Thomas Nelson, 2nd Earl Nelson of Trafalgar and of Merton and Frances Elizabeth Eyre.¹ He died on 28 November 1863 at age 28, killed by a fall from his horse, unmarried.¹

     Lady Susannah Nelson was born in 1829. She was the daughter of Thomas Nelson, 2nd Earl Nelson of Trafalgar and of Merton and Frances Elizabeth Eyre.^1,2 She married Reverend Alexander Colvin Blunt, son of Edward Walter Blunt and Janet Shirley Allan, on 27 June 1865.¹ She died on 8 April 1900, without issue.²
     Her married name became Blunt.

     Lady Frances Catherine Nelson was born circa 1827. She was the daughter of Thomas Nelson, 2nd Earl Nelson of Trafalgar and of Merton and Frances Elizabeth Eyre.¹ She married Robert John Pettiward on 25 January 1855.¹ She died on 14 April 1877.¹
     Her married name became Pettiward.

     Robert John Pettiward married Lady Frances Catherine Nelson, daughter of Thomas Nelson, 2nd Earl Nelson of Trafalgar and of Merton and Frances Elizabeth Eyre, on 25 January 1855.¹ He died on 3 February 1908.¹
     He lived at Great Finborough, Suffolk, England^G.¹
