     He graduated from London University, London, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was a Baptist minister.¹ He graduated from Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He was 1st Moderator of the Free Church Federation Council.¹ He lived at Finchley, London, England.¹

     Amy Gertrude Goodman is the daughter of Reverend William Goodman.² She married Reverend John Howard Shakespeare, son of Reverend Benjamin Shakespeare and Mary Ann Hithersay, on 5 September 1883.¹
     From 5 September 1883, her married name became Shakespeare.

     William Goodman Shakespeare was born on 24 April 1890.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Howard Shakespeare and Amy Gertrude Goodman.² He married Ruth Maude Potter, daughter of William Etty Potter, on 1 January 1927.¹ He died in 1975.³
     He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)¹ He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.)¹ He was medical officer at Wychcrest School.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Army Medical Corps.¹ He was awarded the Medaille de la Reconnaissance Française.¹

     John William Richmond Shakespeare was born on 11 June 1930.¹ He is the son of William Goodman Shakespeare and Ruth Maude Potter.² He married Lalage Ann Mais, daughter of Stuart Petre Brodie Mais, on 15 April 1955.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Irish Guards (RARO.)¹ He was with the British Embassy Staff between 1966 and 1969 at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.¹ He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1968.¹

     Stuart Petre Brodie Mais was born on 4 July 1885 at St. Mary Street, Ladywood, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.³ He was the son of John Brodie Stuart Mais and Hannah Horden Tamlin.^3,4 He died in 1975.³
     He lived at Bliss House, Finches Gardens, Lindfield, Sussex, England.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.)¹ He was a writer and radio braidcaster.³

     Lalage Ann Mais was the daughter of Stuart Petre Brodie Mais.² She married John William Richmond Shakespeare, son of William Goodman Shakespeare and Ruth Maude Potter, on 15 April 1955.¹ She died on 13 January 2021.³
     From 15 April 1955, her married name became Shakespeare.
