Sir Bernard Michael Francis Samuelson, 5th Bt. was born on 17 January 1917.1 He was the son of Sir Francis Henry Bernard Samuelson, 4th Bt. and Margaret Kendall Barnes.2 He married Janet Amy Elkington, daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Laurence Garrett Elkington and Phyllis Amy Vans Agnew, on 26 April 1952.1 He died on 21 November 2008 at age 91.1
He was also known as Michael.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Artillery and Leicestershire Regiment.1 He fought in the Second World War, in Burma, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Samuelson, of Bodicote, Banbury, co. Oxford [U.K., 1884] in 1981.1
