     She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1959.¹ She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1962.¹ She was with UK Mission to the UN, Permanent UK Representative to ECOSOC, New York, Minister Disarmament Conference, Geneva and Counsellor and Consul General to Tel Aviv, with the Foreign Office between 1963 and 1970.¹

     Olive Mary Salt was born on 13 August 1910.¹ She was the daughter of Reginald John Salt and Maud Fanny Wigram.² She married Richard Archibald Fawcett Wallis, son of Henry Richard Wallis, on 25 August 1939.¹ She died on 3 September 1959 at age 49.¹
     She was educated at University College London, London, England.¹ From 25 August 1939, her married name became Wallis.

     Henry Richard Wallis lived at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹

     Richard Archibald Fawcett Wallis is the son of Henry Richard Wallis.² He married Olive Mary Salt, daughter of Reginald John Salt and Maud Fanny Wigram, on 25 August 1939.¹
     He was with the Diplomatic Service.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Reverend William Manning Salt was born on 22 April 1876.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Salt, 1st Bt. and Emma Helen Mary Anderdon.² He married Mildred Nairne Graeme, daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Henry Edward Graeme, on 2 January 1907.¹ He died on 12 November 1947 at age 71.¹
     He held the office of Prebendary of Lichfield.¹ He held the office of Rural Dean of Shrewsbury.² He was Vicar at St. Giles, Shrewsbury, Wiltshire, England.² He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1906 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1910 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹

     Mildred Nairne Graeme was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Henry Edward Graeme.² She married Reverend William Manning Salt, son of Sir Thomas Salt, 1st Bt. and Emma Helen Mary Anderdon, on 2 January 1907.¹ She died on 8 June 1926.¹
     From 2 January 1907, her married name became Salt.

     Joan Mildred Salt was born on 24 April 1908.¹ She is the daughter of Reverend William Manning Salt and Mildred Nairne Graeme.² She married Frederick Newman Tanner, son of Reverend Charles Newman Tanner, on 11 May 1938.¹
     From 11 May 1938, her married name became Tanner. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Monmouthshire in 1960.¹ She lived in 2003 at The Vaga, Monmouth, Monmouthshire, Wales.¹

     Frederick Newman Tanner is the son of Reverend Charles Newman Tanner.² He married Joan Mildred Salt, daughter of Reverend William Manning Salt and Mildred Nairne Graeme, on 11 May 1938.¹
