     Oliver Stukeley Fleming St. John was born on 1 August 1881.¹ He was the son of Reverend Harris Fleming St. John and Gertrude Margaret Ward.² He married, firstly, Agnes Margaret Jane Jenkins, daughter of Arthur Jenkins, in 1913.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Sarah Ross, daughter of John Ross, on 26 June 1924.¹ He died on 19 April 1955 at age 73.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1916 and 1919 in the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry.¹
