     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Battle of Jutland on 31 May 1916, on board H.M.S. Petard.1

     He lived in 2003 at Gardener’s Cottage, Knole, Kent, England.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Sackville of Knole, co. Kent [U.K., 1876] in 2004.2
