     Colonel David Hugh Rycroft was born on 30 December 1907.¹ He was the son of Reverend Edmund Hugh Rycroft and Winifred Edith Fanshawe.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Edith Dilys Carbery, daughter of Captain Miles Bertie Cunningham Carbery, on 18 December 1930.¹ He and Elizabeth Edith Dilys Carbery were divorced in 1934.¹ He married, secondly, Cicely Phoebe Susanna Otter-Barry, daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Bruère Otter-Barry and Phoebe Storr, on 31 July 1939.¹ He died on 13 November 1944 at age 36 at Dalmatia, Yugoslavia, killed in action.¹
     He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1943.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry.¹

     Captain Miles Bertie Cunningham Carbery gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Royal Irish Fusiliers.¹

     Elizabeth Edith Dilys Carbery is the daughter of Captain Miles Bertie Cunningham Carbery.² She married Colonel David Hugh Rycroft, son of Reverend Edmund Hugh Rycroft and Winifred Edith Fanshawe, on 18 December 1930.¹ She and Colonel David Hugh Rycroft were divorced in 1934.¹
     From 18 December 1930, her married name became Rycroft.

     Julian Miles Wemyss Rycroft was born on 7 November 1931.¹ He was the son of Colonel David Hugh Rycroft and Elizabeth Edith Dilys Carbery.² He married Jennifer Margaret Wainwright, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Gordon Wainwright, on 14 August 1954.¹ He died on 16 June 1955 at age 23, killed in an accident H.M.S. Sidon.¹
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)¹ He was educated at Royal Naval College, Darmouth, Devon, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.¹

     Lt.-Col. John Gordon Wainwright lived at Penn, Buckinghamshire, England.¹

     Jennifer Margaret Wainwright is the daughter of Lt.-Col. John Gordon Wainwright.² She married Julian Miles Wemyss Rycroft, son of Colonel David Hugh Rycroft and Elizabeth Edith Dilys Carbery, on 14 August 1954.¹ She married Sir John Ogilvy Rennie, son of Charles Ogilvy Rennie, on 19 July 1966.¹
     From 14 August 1954, her married name became Rycroft. From 19 July 1966, her married name became Rennie.¹

Robert Bruère Otter-Barry was born on 14 November 1879 at Kensington, London, England.³ He was the son of Robert Melvil Barry Otter and Isabel Louisa Wolryche-Whitmore.³ He married Phoebe Storr, daughter of Reverend John Storr and Amy Theodosia Leycester, on 11 June 1907 at St. Barnabas, Little Horkesley, Essex, England.³ He died on 6 April 1947 at age 67 at Royal Infirmary, Manchester, Lancashire, England.³
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Cololnel in the Royal Sussex Regiment.¹ He lived at Glazeley Hall, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, England.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Cicely Phoebe Susanna Otter-Barry was born on 26 January 1911 at Great Horkesley, Essex, England.² She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Bruère Otter-Barry and Phoebe Storr.^3,2 She married Colonel David Hugh Rycroft, son of Reverend Edmund Hugh Rycroft and Winifred Edith Fanshawe, on 31 July 1939.¹ She died on 8 September 1980 at age 69 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.^1,2
     From 31 July 1939, her married name became Rycroft.

     Henry David Rycroft was born on 24 March 1943.¹ He is the son of Colonel David Hugh Rycroft and Cicely Phoebe Susanna Otter-Barry.² He married, firstly, Nicole Elizabeth Kenig, daughter of Maurice Kenig, in 1972.¹ He and Nicole Elizabeth Kenig were divorced in 1983.¹ He married, secondly, Dorothea Ann Joan Evans, daughter of Robert William Nicholson Evans and Dorothy Ann Lees, in 1983.¹
