     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Auxiliary Air Force.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Rugby, of Rugby, co. Warwick [U.K., 1947] on 20 April 1969.¹

     Hon. Simon Chelmsford Loader Maffey was born on 12 April 1919.¹ He was the son of John Loader Maffey, 1st Baron of Rugby and Dorothy Gladys Huggins.² He married Andrée Norma Middleton, daughter of George Middleton, in 1949.¹ He and Andrée Norma Middleton were divorced in 1962.¹ He died on 16 December 2004 at age 85.³
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant between 1937 and 1943 in the Coldstream Guards.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded and invalided.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Merchant Navy.¹ He lived in 2003 at Charterhouse, London, England.¹

     Colonel Jeremy David Smith-Bingham is the son of Colonel Oswald Cyril Smith-Bingham.¹ He married Priscilla Mary Incledon-Webber, daughter of Lt.-Col. Godfrey Sturdy Incledon-Webber and Angela Florence Lacy, on 22 July 1969.¹
