Munro Ross of Pitcalnie1

     Munro Ross of Pitcalnie was the son of Alexander Ross of Pitcalnie and Naomi Dunbar.2,1 He died on 2 March 1810, unmarried.1
     On 14 June 1760 he entailed Pitcalnie first to the heirs male of his great-uncle William.1 In 1788 he unsuccessfully claimed the Earldom of Ross.1

     William Ross was the son of Alexander Ross of Pitcalnie and Agnes Ross.2 He married Elizabeth Brussack.1 He died on 18 October 1763.1
     He gained the rank of Army Captain in 1741 in the Antrim.1 He also had two daughters.1

     On 23 August 1821 he was retoured heir to kinsman Munro Ross of Pitcalnie.1
