     William Riddell was the son of Sir John Riddell of that Ilk, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Swinton.² He died in 1700, without issue.¹

     John Watt lived at Rosehill, Angus, Scotland^G.¹

     Mary Watt is the daughter of John Watt.² She married Sir Walter Riddell of that Ilk, 4th Bt., son of Sir John Riddell of that Ilk, 3rd Bt. and Helen Morison, on 18 April 1692.¹
     From 18 April 1692, her married name became Riddell.

     Sir Walter Riddell of that Ilk, 5th Bt. was born in 1695.² He was the son of Sir Walter Riddell of that Ilk, 4th Bt. and Mary Watt.² He married Jane Turnbull, daughter of John Turnbull of Houndwood, in 1724/25.² He died on 13 May 1765.^2,3
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Riddell, of Riddell, co. Roxburgh [N.S., 1628] on 27 April 1747.¹

     Thomas Riddell was born in 1696.¹ He was the son of Sir Walter Riddell of that Ilk, 4th Bt. and Mary Watt.² He married Margaret Hunter, daughter of Reverend William Hunter, on 23 April 1740.¹ He died in 1750.¹
     He lived at Camieston, Roxburghshire, Scotland.¹

     Margaret Hunter is the daughter of Reverend William Hunter.² She married Thomas Riddell, son of Sir Walter Riddell of that Ilk, 4th Bt. and Mary Watt, on 23 April 1740.¹
     From 23 April 1740, her married name became Riddell.

     William Riddell was born in 1746.¹ He was the son of Thomas Riddell and Margaret Hunter.² He married Elizabeth Carre, daughter of John Carre, on 13 January 1776.¹ He died in 1829.¹
     He lived at Camieston, Roxburghshire, Scotland.¹

     John Carre lived at Cavers Carre, Roxburghshire, Scotland.¹

     Elizabeth Carre was the daughter of John Carre.² She married William Riddell, son of Thomas Riddell and Margaret Hunter, on 13 January 1776.¹ She died in 1828.¹
     From 13 January 1776, her married name became Riddell.
