     Sir Silvester Rattray, 10th of Rattray is the son of Patrick Rattray, 9th of Rattray and unknown daughter Stewart.2 He married Margaret Ogilvy, daughter of David Ogilvy of Balmuto and Christian Glen.1
     He was Ambassador to negotiate peace with England in 1463.1 In 1482 he sat in Parliament as a feudal baron and on the assize that acquitted Lord Lyle of treason.1
