     G/Capt. John Wood Homer was the son of George J. W. Homer and Millicent Jacobs.2,3 He married Susan Mabel Christian Ramsay, daughter of Robert Christian Ramsay and Olive Zillah Voss, on 2 August 1933.1 He died in 1944, killed on active service.1
     He gained the rank of Group Captain in the Royal Air Force.1 He fought in the Second World War.
