     Peter Dudley de Chair was born on 15 June 1939.¹ He was the son of Somerset Struben de Chair and Thelma Grace Arbuthnot.¹ He died in 1962, by shooting himself.¹ He was buried at Blickling, Norfolk, England.¹

     Mary Eleanor Arbuthnot was born on 8 March 1861 at Ootacamund, India.¹ She was the daughter of William Reierson Arbuthnot and Mary Helen Anstruther.¹ She died in 1945.¹

     Helen Frances Arbuthnot was born on 21 February 1862 at Madras, India.¹ She was the daughter of William Reierson Arbuthnot and Mary Helen Anstruther.¹ She married Lt.-Col. William Crawford Middleton, son of William Middleton and Jane Hamilton Campbell, on 2 February 1886.¹ She died on 1 August 1900 at age 38, from appendicitis, on board a ship on the way to South Africa.¹
     From 2 February 1886, her married name became Middleton.¹

     Lt.-Col. William Crawford Middleton was born in 1858 at Cardross, Dunbartonshire, Scotland.² He was the son of William Middleton and Jane Hamilton Campbell.² He married Helen Frances Arbuthnot, daughter of William Reierson Arbuthnot and Mary Helen Anstruther, on 2 February 1886.¹ He died in 1901.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 2nd Dragoons, Royal Scots Greys.¹
