He was given the name of John Jones at birth.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)1 He was the builder of the Great Hall of University College, Bangor and founder Prichard Jones Institute and Cottage Homes Newborough, Anglesey.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Anglesey in 1905.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Anglesey in 1905.1 In 1910 Freedom Caernarvon and Bangor 1911.1 He succeeded as the 1st Baronet Jones, of Bron Menai, co. Anglesey [U.K.] on 15 July 1910.1 In 1917 his name was legally changed to John Prichard-Jones by deed poll.1 He lived at Bron Menai, Anglesey.1
