     Augustin Prevost was born on 14 June 1695.¹ He was the son of Jean Louis Prevost.² He married Louise Martine, daughter of Gideon Martine.¹ He died on 24 January 1740 at age 44.¹
     They also had five daughters.¹ He lived at Geneva, Switzerland.¹

     Gideon Martine held the office of 1st Syndic (Mayor) of Geneva.¹

     Louise Martine was the daughter of Gideon Martine.² She married Augustin Prevost, son of Jean Louis Prevost.¹ She died in 1743.¹
     Her married name became Prevost.¹ They also had five daughters.¹

     Jean Louis Prevost was the son of Augustin Prevost and Louise Martine.² He died, young.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Augustine Prevost was born on 22 August 1723.¹ He was the son of Augustin Prevost and Louise Martine.³ He married Anne Margaret Grand, daughter of The Chevalier George Grand, on 29 August 1765.¹ He died on 4 May 1786 at age 62.¹
     He settled in England.¹ He purchased at Greenhill Grove estate, Hertfordshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the 60th Royal America Regiment.¹ He fought in the Battle of Fontenoy in 1745.¹ He fought in the Battle of Quebec in 1759.¹ He was in the Earl of Albermarle’s Regiment of Horse Guards.¹ He was General in command of the British forces in beating off the French at Siege of Savannah in 1779.¹

     Lt.-Gen. Jacques Prevost was born in December 1736.¹ He was the son of Augustin Prevost and Louise Martine.² He married Anne Louisa Mackay, daughter of Hugh Mackay, in March 1751.¹
     He was given the name of Jacques Prevost at birth.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in the British Forces.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 60th Regiment.¹ On 1 September 1775 his name was legally changed to Jacques Mackay by royal licence.¹ Their descendants settled in Holland.¹

     Anne Louisa Mackay is the daughter of Hugh Mackay.¹ She married Lt.-Gen. Jacques Prevost, son of Augustin Prevost and Louise Martine, in March 1751.¹
     From March 1751, her married name became Prevost.¹ Their descendants settled in Holland.¹

     Lt.-Col. Jacques Marc Prevost was the son of Augustin Prevost and Louise Martine.² He married Theodosia Bartow, daughter of Theodosius Bartow.¹ He died in 1794, having had issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 60th Rifles Siege of Savannah, Georgia.¹ He fought in the American War of Independence.¹

     Theodosia Bartow is the daughter of Theodosius Bartow. She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Jacques Marc Prevost, son of Augustin Prevost and Louise Martine.¹ She married, secondly, Vice-President Aaron Burr in 1782.¹
     Her married name became Prevost.¹ From 1782, her married name became Burr.¹
