     Frederich Welch Portal was born on 22 February 1847.¹ He was the son of Bernard Bedwell Portal and Lucy Welch.² He married Marion Caroline Wallace, daughter of Reverend John Wallace, on 30 August 1883.¹ He died on 30 December 1925 at age 78.¹

     Marion Caroline Wallace is the daughter of Reverend John Wallace.² She married Frederich Welch Portal, son of Bernard Bedwell Portal and Lucy Welch, on 30 August 1883.¹
     From 30 August 1883, her married name became Portal.¹

     Andrew Wallace Portal was born on 12 June 1892.¹ He was the son of Frederich Welch Portal and Marion Caroline Wallace.² He married Evelyn Marshall.¹ He died on 4 July 1987 at age 95.¹
     He fought in the First World War, he was wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 3rd Battalion, Royal West Surrey Regiment.¹

     Evelyn Marshall married Andrew Wallace Portal, son of Frederich Welch Portal and Marion Caroline Wallace.¹
     Her married name became Portal.¹

     Julian Robert Andrew Portal was born on 29 February 1924.¹ He was the son of Andrew Wallace Portal and Evelyn Marshall.² He died on 5 September 1977 at age 53.¹

     Richard Wallace Portal was born on 26 May 1925.¹ He is the son of Andrew Wallace Portal and Evelyn Marshall.² He married Pamela Burrill, daughter of J. W. Burrill, on 2 July 1966.¹
