     Jean de Perrotet married Isabeau de Sameria.¹
     He lived at Orange, Alpes-Cote d’Azur, France.¹

     Lucrèce Perrotet is the daughter of Jean de Perrotet and Isabeau de Sameria.^2,1 A contract for the marriage of Lucrèce Perrotet and Etienne Portal was signed on 28 April 1632.¹
     From 28 April 1632, her married name became Portal.¹ They also had a younger son and two daughters.¹

     Jean Francois Portal was born on 3 November 1642.¹ He was the son of Etienne Portal and Lucrèce Perrotet.² He married by contract, firstly, Françoise Grimaudet Grimaudet, daughter of Benjamin Grimaudet and Jeanne Pain, on 10 February 1682 at Poiters, Poitou-Charentes, France^G.¹ He married Marie Gousset, daughter of Jacques Gousset, on 28 April 1700.¹ He died in 1705.¹
     He was he was an ecuyer.¹ He held the office of Conseiller du Roi.¹ He held the office of Seigneur de la Vau-Guiot.¹ They also had an older son, two younger sons and seven daughters.¹ He emigrated to London, England, arriving on 1699 to escape from religious persecution.¹ He lived at Poiters, Poitou-Charentes, France^G.¹

     Benjamin Grimaudet married Jeanne Pain.¹
     He held the office of Seigneur des Giraudières.¹

     Françoise Grimaudet Grimaudet is the daughter of Benjamin Grimaudet and Jeanne Pain.^2,1 A contract for the marriage of Françoise Grimaudet Grimaudet and Jean Francois Portal was signed on 10 February 1682 at Poiters, Poitou-Charentes, France^G.¹
     From 10 February 1682, her married name became Portal.¹ They also had an older son, two younger sons and seven daughters.¹

     Reverend Peter William Portal was baptised on 25 December 1685 at Poitiers, Poitou-Charentes, France^G.¹ He was the son of Jean Francois Portal and Françoise Grimaudet Grimaudet.² He married Mary Magdalen Meure, daughter of Andrew Meure, on 2 January 1724.¹ He died in 1768.¹
     He was also known as Pierre Guillaume Portal.¹ He was the Rector at Clowne, Derbyshire, England.¹ He was the Vicar at South Fambridge, Essex, England.¹

     Andrew Meure lived at Leatherhead, Surrey, England.¹

     Mary Magdalen Meure was the daughter of Andrew Meure.² She married Reverend Peter William Portal, son of Jean Francois Portal and Françoise Grimaudet Grimaudet, on 2 January 1724.¹ She died in 1754.¹
     From 2 January 1724, her married name became Portal.¹

     Reverend Andrew Portal was born in 1725.¹ He was the son of Reverend Peter William Portal and Mary Magdalen Meure.² He married Frances Nethersole.¹ He died in July 1775, having had issue.¹
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was the Vicar at St. Helen’s, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England.¹ In 1755 he translated The Orations of Eschines against Ctesiphon.¹
