     Reginald Carew Pole was born on 2 December 1914.1 He was the son of Albert Edward Pole and Sophia Buckingham Hay.2 He married Mary MacKinnon Don, daughter of R. P. Don, in 1939.1 He died in September 1985 at age 70 at Cleveland, Yorkshire, England.3
     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Corps of Signals.1
