     Rear-Admiral Vernon D’Arcy Donaldson was the son of Admiral Leonard Andrew Boyd Donaldson.2 He married Joan Cranfield Monypenny, 29th of Pitmilly, daughter of James Egerton Howard Monypenny and Gladys Gwendoline Cranfield, on 27 July 1946.1 He died on 30 April 1992.1
     He gained the rank of Rear Admiral in the Royal Navy.1
