     From 2 September 1902, her married name became Piers.¹

     Eustace Pennell Piers was born on 11 October 1910.¹ He was the son of Henry Handyside Bruce Piers and Eva Gertrude Pennell.² He married Jean Mavis Ralph, daughter of John Edwards Ralph, on 22 February 1941.¹ He died on 17 August 1979 at age 68.¹
     He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Major in the Royal Signals, Territorial Army.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹
