     George William Stow was born on 2 February 1822.¹ He was the son of George Stow and Sarah Bartlett.² He married, firstly, Caroline Elizabeth Skinner, daughter of James Skinner, on 23 July 1844.¹ He married, secondly, Frances Sophia Heaviside, daughter of Reverend John Heaviside, on 7 January 1868.¹ He married, thirdly, Fanny Louisa Russel de Smidt, daughter of Assist. Commissary-Gen. unknown de Smidt, on 13 September 1869.¹ He died on 17 March 1882 at age 60, without issue.¹
     He was appointed Fellow, Geological Society (F.G.S.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)¹ He lived at Orange Free State, South Africa.¹

     James Skinner lived at Bathurst.¹

     Caroline Elizabeth Skinner was the daughter of James Skinner.² She married George William Stow, son of George Stow and Sarah Bartlett, on 23 July 1844.¹ She died in 1866, without issue.¹
     From 23 July 1844, her married name became Stow.¹

     Frederic Stow was born on 15 February 1828.¹ He was the son of George Stow and Sarah Bartlett.² He married Fanny Sanders, daughter of Samuel Sanders, on 24 June 1848.¹ He died on 27 May 1897 at age 69.¹
     They also had other issue.¹ He lived at Steenbokspan, Orange Free State, South Africa.¹

     John Stow was born on 23 September 1830.¹ He was the son of George Stow and Sarah Bartlett.² He married Lydia Hurst Parke, daughter of William Parke, on 1 December 1856.¹ He died in 1920.¹
     He lived at Tarkastad, Cape Province, South Africa.¹
