     He tried twice to help King Charles I escape from Carisbrooke Castle.¹ He was Gentleman Usher to King Charles I.¹

     Richard Osborne was born in 1590.¹ He was the son of Sir John Osborne and Dorothy Barlee.² He died in 1623, killed.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the under Count Mansfeld and the Duke of Brunswick.¹ He fought in the Thirty Years War.¹

     Francis Osborne was born on 26 September 1593.¹ He was the son of Sir John Osborne and Dorothy Barlee.² He married Anna Ufflet, daughter of William Ufflet.¹ He died on 4 February 1658 at age 64.¹
     He was a Parliamentarian during the Civil War.¹ He was Treasurer’s Remembrancer.¹ He was Master Horse to 3rd Earl of Pembroke.¹ He wrote the book Advice to a Son, published 1656.¹ He wrote the book Tradition Memoirs of Reigns of Queen Elizabeth and King James I, published 1658.¹ He had two sons and three daughters.¹

     Anna Ufflet is the daughter of William Ufflet.² She married Francis Osborne, son of Sir John Osborne and Dorothy Barlee.¹
     Her married name became Osborne.

     Michael Neiland was born circa 1822.¹ He was the son of Matthew Neiland.¹ He married Mary-Anne Persse, daughter of David Dudley Persse and Sarah Persse, on 3 October 1847 at Kilcolgan Church, Kilcolgan, County Galway, Ireland.¹

     Dorothy Danvers is the daughter of Sir John Danvers and Elizabeth Neville.² She married Sir Peter Osborne, son of Sir John Osborne and Dorothy Barlee.¹
     Her married name became Osborne.

     Thomas Osborne was born in 1609.¹ He was the son of Sir Peter Osborne and Dorothy Danvers.² He died in 1637.¹

     Lt.-Col. Henry Osborne was born in 1614.¹ He was the son of Sir Peter Osborne and Dorothy Danvers.² He died in 1645 at Naseby, Northamptonshire, England, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Foot.¹ He fought in the Battle of Naseby in 1645.¹
