     Nial Creagh O’Morchoe, The O’Morchoe was born on 26 September 1895.¹ He was the son of Reverend Thomas Arthur MacMurrough Murphy O’Morchoe, The O’Morchoe and Anne Gibbon.² He married Jessie Elizabeth Joly, daughter of Charles Jasper Joly, on 30 September 1925.¹ He died on 26 February 1970 at age 74.¹
     He was educated at St. Andrew’s College, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹ He was commissioned in 1914 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Leinster Regiment.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of officer in 1917 in the Indian Army.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was commander of the 4th Battalion, 15th Punjab between 1939 and 1941.¹ He was commander of the Sub-Area Iraq, Persia and India between 1941 and 1946.¹ He retired from the military in 1947.¹

     Charles Jasper Joly was appointed FRIS.¹ He was registered as a MRIA.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹ He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of Astronomer Royal of Ireland.¹
