Sir Charles Manners Gamaliel Nightingale, 17th Bt. was born on 21 February 1947.2 He is the son of Sir Charles Athelstan Nightingale, 16th Bt. and Evelyn Nadine Frances Diggens.2
He was educated at St. Paul’s School, London, England.2 He was executive officer with DHSS between 1969 and 1996.2 He succeeded as the 17th Baronet Nightingale, of Newport Pond, co. Essex [E., 1628] on 7 March 1977.1 He graduated from Open University, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG, in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He lived in 2003 at 16 Unity Grove, Harrogate, Yorkshire, England.2
