Hertford [U.K.] on 1 December 1944.¹

     Lilian Dorothy Tozer was the daughter of Sir Henry Tozer.² She married Sir Frank Edwin Newson-Smith, 1st Bt., son of Henry Newson-Smith and Elizabeth Caroline Louise Powning, on 7 July 1904.¹ She died on 3 January 1955.¹
     From 7 July 1904, her married name became Newson-Smith.

     Sir John Kenneth Newson-Smith, 2nd Bt. was born on 9 January 1911.¹ He was the son of Sir Frank Edwin Newson-Smith, 1st Bt. and Lilian Dorothy Tozer.² He married, firstly, Vera Margaret Allt, daughter of Dr. Greenhouse Allt, on 17 March 1945.¹ He and Vera Margaret Allt were divorced in 1971.¹ He married, secondly, Annie Burns, daughter of Harold Burns, in 1972.¹ He married, thirdly, Sarah Lucretia Wimberley Bicknell, daughter of Robert Bicknell, in 1988.¹ He died on 11 November 1997 at age 86.¹
     He was educated at Dover College, Dover, Kent, England.¹ He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1933 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant Royal in the Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹ He was member of the Court of Common Council in 1945.¹ He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1946 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the City of London in 1947.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Newson-Smith, of Totteridge, co.      Dr. Greenhouse Allt was Principal at Trinity College of Music, London, England^G.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.)¹

     Vera Margaret Allt is the daughter of Dr. Greenhouse Allt.² She married Sir John Kenneth Newson-Smith, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Frank Edwin Newson-Smith, 1st Bt. and Lilian Dorothy Tozer, on 17 March 1945.¹ She and Sir John Kenneth Newson-Smith, 2nd Bt. were divorced in 1971.¹
     From 17 March 1945, her married name became Newson-Smith.

     Susan Rosemary Newson-Smith was born on 11 January 1946.¹ She is the daughter of Sir John Kenneth Newson-Smith, 2nd Bt. and Vera Margaret Allt.² She married Charles Alexander Reiss, son of Dr. Joseph Charles Reiss, in 1978.¹
     From 1978, her married name became Reiss. She lived in 2003 at 91 Belsize Lane, London, England.¹
