     Admiral Sir Frank Henry Edward Hopkins was born on 23 June 1910 at Wallington, Surrey, England.¹ He was the son of Edward Frank Lumley Hopkins and Sybil Mary Walrond.¹ He married, firstly, Joan Mary Ashwin circa 1933.¹ He married, secondly, Lois Barbara Cook, daughter of James Robert Cook, in 1939.¹ He married Georgianna Priest in 1988.¹ He died on 14 April 1990 at age 79 at Hawaii, U.S.A., as a result of a road accident.¹
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹
