     Major Nigel Claude Oliver Napier was born on 28 August 1913.¹ He was the son of Philip Henry Napier and Gabrielle Jean Harvey.² He married Lucy Margaret Brown, daughter of Captain Arthur Walter Brown, on 14 April 1945.¹ He married Hazel Therese Dolan, daughter of Joseph Dolan, in 1983.¹ He died in 1994.¹
     He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Captain Arthur Walter Brown was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Thackley, Bradford, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Lucy Margaret Brown was the daughter of Captain Arthur Walter Brown.² She married Major Nigel Claude Oliver Napier, son of Philip Henry Napier and Gabrielle Jean Harvey, on 14 April 1945.¹ She died in 1980.¹
