     Archibald Scott Napier was born on 9 June 1865.¹ He was the son of Hon. William Napier and Louisa May Lloyd.² He married Katherine Edith Liveing, daughter of Robert Liveing and Adelaide Mary Dorothea Hawker, on 16 March 1889 at Marylebone, London, England.¹ He died on 22 December 1934 at age 69.¹
     He was registered as a Member, Institute of Civil Engineers (M.Inst.C.E.)¹

     Robert Liveing was born before 1 May 1834 at Nayland, Suffolk, England.² He was the son of Edward Liveing and Catherine Mary Downing.² He married Adelaide Mary Dorothea Hawker, daughter of Admiral Edward Hawker and Joanna Naomi Poore, on 15 August 1866 at Blendworth, Hampshire, England.² He died in 1919 at Marylebone, London, England.²
     He graduated from Christ’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1858 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He graduated from Christ’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1860 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He graduated from Christ’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1861 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)² He was on the staff at Middlesex Hospital, London, England.² He graduated from Christ’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1865 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians, London (F.R.C.P.)²

     Katherine Edith Liveing was born on 22 September 1867 at Marylebone, London, England.² She was the daughter of Robert Liveing and Adelaide Mary Dorothea Hawker.^3,2 She married Archibald Scott Napier, son of Hon. William Napier and Louisa May Lloyd, on 16 March 1889 at Marylebone, London, England.¹ She died on 20 December 1942 at age 75 at Westminster, London, England.¹
     From 16 March 1889, her married name became Napier.

     Maj.-Gen. Charles Scott Napier was born on 3 February 1899.¹ He was the son of Archibald Scott Napier and Katherine Edith Liveing.² He married Ida Kathleen Douétil, daughter of Victor Napoleon Douétil, on 8 August 1927.¹ He died on 16 June 1946 at age 47.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.¹ He was Chief of Movements and Transportation Branch 6–4 Divivision, Supreme HQ, Allied Expeditionary Force between 1943 and 1945.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He was awarded the Commander, U.S. Legion of Merit.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Engineers.¹

     Ida Kathleen Douétil was the daughter of Victor Napoleon Douétil.² She married Maj.-Gen. Charles Scott Napier, son of Archibald Scott Napier and Katherine Edith Liveing, on 8 August 1927.¹ She died in 1979.¹
     From 8 August 1927, her married name became Napier.

     Reverend Michael Scott Napier was born on 15 February 1929.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Charles Scott Napier and Ida Kathleen Douétil.² He died on 22 August 1996 at age 67.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.¹ He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1955 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was a Roman Catholic priest (Oratorian.)¹

     Major Alexander Napier was born on 7 September 1904.¹ He was the son of Archibald Scott Napier and Katherine Edith Liveing.² He married Margaret Esmé Scott Napier, daughter of Brigadier Arthur Francis Scott Napier and Phyllis Grace Fleming, on 21 September 1946.¹ He died on 31 August 1954 at age 49.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.¹ He was Vice-Consul to Khoramshahr in 1939.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Indian Army and Indian Political Service.¹ He was Secretary to Resident Eastern States Calcutta in 1946.¹
