     Rachel Russell Windham was born on 19 May 1916.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Steuart Windham and Marjorie Russell Dymoke.¹ She married Lt.-Col. George Kinloch Sheppard, son of Sir William Didsbury Sheppard, on 15 July 1963.¹ She died on 9 January 2005 at age 88.²
     From 15 July 1963, her married name became Sheppard.¹ She lived in 2003 at 2 Chancery Court, Hay-on-Wye, Herefordshire, England^G.¹

     Ethel Turner Lawford was the daughter of Thomas Acland Lawford.¹ She married Hon. Rolfe Arthur Lubbock, son of John Lubbock, 1st Baron Avebury and Ellen Frances Hordern, on 10 March 1894.¹ She died on 13 January 1959.¹
     From 10 March 1894, her married name became Lubbock.¹

     Arthur Russell Smijth-Windham was born on 27 November 1874.¹ He was the son of Major George Smijth-Windham and Clarissa Elizabeth Russell.¹ He married Brenda Helen Hall, daughter of Gerald Hall, on 21 November 1901.¹ He died on 30 December 1915 at age 41, lost at sea in the sinking of the Persia.¹
     He was in the Sudan Civil Service.¹ He was awarded the Order of the Medjidie 3rd class.¹

     Brenda Helen Hall was the daughter of Gerald Hall.¹ She married Arthur Russell Smijth-Windham, son of Major George Smijth-Windham and Clarissa Elizabeth Russell, on 21 November 1901.¹ She died on 15 June 1947.
     From 21 November 1901, her married name became Smijth-Windham.¹

     Brigadier William Russell Smijth-Windham was born on 21 October 1907.¹ He was the son of Arthur Russell Smijth-Windham and Brenda Helen Hall.¹ He married Helen Teresa Clementi-Smith, daughter of Brigadier Hubert Clementi-Smith and Kathleen Margaret Clarke-Jervoise, on 5 September 1934 at Hungerford, Berkshire, England.^1,2 He died on 12 November 1994 at age 87.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England^G.¹ He was chief radio operator in the Everest Expedition in 1933.¹ He was chief radio operator in the Everest Expedition in 1936.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1942.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Signals.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1946.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Institute of Electrical Engineers (F.I.E.E.)¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Elizabeth II between 1957 and 1960.¹

     Helen Teresa Clementi-Smith was born in 1912.² She was the daughter of Brigadier Hubert Clementi-Smith and Kathleen Margaret Clarke-Jervoise.^1,2 She married Brigadier William Russell Smijth-Windham, son of Arthur Russell Smijth-Windham and Brenda Helen Hall, on 5 September 1934 at Hungerford, Berkshire, England.^1,2 She died on 31 August 1999.³
     From 5 September 1934, her married name became Smijth-Windham.¹

     Simon William Smijth-Windham was born on 7 July 1937 at Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.^1,2 He is the son of Brigadier William Russell Smijth-Windham and Helen Teresa Clementi-Smith.¹ He married Wendy Myra Albrow, daughter of Edgar William John Albrow, on 16 July 1960.¹
     He was educated at St. Paul’s School, London, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Middle Lodge, Hughenden Estate, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹

     Wendy Myra Albrow is the daughter of Edgar William John Albrow.¹ She married Simon William Smijth-Windham, son of Brigadier William Russell Smijth-Windham and Helen Teresa Clementi-Smith, on 16 July 1960.¹
     From 16 July 1960, her married name became Smijth-Windham.¹

     Alistair William Smijth-Windham was born on 6 May 1966.¹ He is the son of Simon William Smijth-Windham and Wendy Myra Albrow.¹

     Joanna Felicity Smijth-Windham was born on 2 October 1938 at Richmond, Yorkshire, England.^1,2 She is the daughter of Brigadier William Russell Smijth-Windham and Helen Teresa Clementi-Smith.¹ She married, firstly, Peter Anthony Lazarus, son of George Louis Lazarus, on 28 July 1963.¹ She married, secondly, Alan Robert Brown in 1984.¹
     From 28 July 1963, her married name became Lazarus.¹ She lived in 2003 at Fairseat Farm, Chew Stoke, Bristol, England^G.¹
