     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Warwickshire.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Warwickshire in 1865.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Warwickshire.1 He lived at Springfield House, Warwickshire, England.1
