     William Duberly was born on 13 July 1841.1 He was the son of James Duberly and Emily Hannah Grey.2 He married Hon. Rosa Louisa Vernon Sandys, daughter of Arthur Marcus Cecil Sandys, 3rd Lord Sandys, Baron of Ombersley and Louisa Blake, on 14 October 1874.3 He died on 18 December 1888 at age 47.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.3 He lived at Gaynes Hall, Huntingdonshire, England.3
