William Norton was born on 30 March 1828 at Braunston, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.1 He was the son of William Norton and Esther Reeve.1 He married Amelia Davey, daughter of Elijah Samuel Davey and Johanna Randall, on 4 March 1856 at Bethesda Chapel, Truro, Cornwall, EnglandG.1 He died on 17 May 1893 at age 65 at Truro, Cornwall, EnglandG.1
He was a wholesale grocer at King Street, Truro, Cornwall, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Mayor of Truro in 1883.1
