     Luke Howard was born on 28 November 1772 at London, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Robert Howard and Elizabeth Leatham.2 He married Mariabella Eliot, daughter of John Eliot and Mary Weston, on 7 December 1796 at London, EnglandG.1,2 He died on 21 March 1864 at age 91 at Bruce Grove, Tottenham, London, EnglandG.1,2
     He was a meteorologist and chemist.1 He was a partner in the Plough Court Pharmacy between 1798 and 1805.2 He wrote the book The Climate of London, published between 1818 and 1820, 2 volumes.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1821.2 He wrote the book Baronmetrographia, published 1847.2
