     Rachel Cecilia Bingham was born on 9 April 1917. She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Ralph Charles Bingham and Dorothy Louisa Pratt.¹ She married Cuthbert James McCall Alport, Baron Alport, son of Arthur Cecil Alport and Janet McCall, on 26 October 1945.¹ She died on 13 July 1983 at age 66.¹
     Her married name became Alport. After her marriage, Rachel Cecilia Bingham was styled as Baroness Alport on 16 February 1961.

     Cuthbert James McCall Alport, Baron Alport was born on 22 March 1912.¹ He was the son of Arthur Cecil Alport and Janet McCall.¹ He married Rachel Cecilia Bingham, daughter of Lt.-Col. Ralph Charles Bingham and Dorothy Louisa Pratt, on 26 October 1945.¹ He died on 28 October 1998 at age 86.²
