     Sir George Savile, 8th Bt. was born on 18 July 1726.^1,2 He was the son of Sir George Savile, 7th Bt. and Mary Pratt. He died on 10 January 1784 at age 57, unmarried.¹
     He was Colonel 1st Battalion WR Mil, Member of Parliament (M.P.) Yorks, V-Pres Society Arts and Sciences, Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Savile, of Thornhill, co. York [E., 1611] on 16 September 1743.¹ On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.

     Arabella Savile was the daughter of Sir George Savile, 7th Bt. and Mary Pratt. She married John Hewett, son of Andrew Thornhagh and Letitia Ayscough, in 1744.^1,2 She died in 1787.¹
     From 1744, her married name became Hewett.

     John Hewett was born in 1720.² He was the son of Andrew Thornhagh and Letitia Ayscough.² He married Arabella Savile, daughter of Sir George Savile, 7th Bt. and Mary Pratt, in 1744.^1,2 He died in 1787.²
     He was given the name of John Thornhagh at birth. He was educated at Queens’ College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.² He lived in 1742 at Osberton, Nottinghamshire, England.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Nottinghamshire in 1745.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Nottinghamshire between 1747 and 1774.² He was (an unknown value) in 1756 at Shireoaks, Nottinghamshire, England.¹ In 1756 his name was legally changed to John Hewett after inheriting the estate of Sir Thomas Hewett, his godfather.² He held the office of Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1787.²
