     Commander E. G. Lock gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Jane Erica Lock is the daughter of Commander E. G. Lock.² She married Michael Desmonde Erskine Ayre, son of Major John Bulley Bray Ayre and Margaret Isabel Lane, on 8 May 1971.¹
     From 8 May 1971, her married name became Ayre.

     Nicholas Robert Erskine Ayre was born in 1973.¹ He is the son of Michael Desmonde Erskine Ayre and Jane Erica Lock.²
     He graduated from University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta, Canada^G, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹

     Robin Michael Ayre was born in 1975.¹ He is the son of Michael Desmonde Erskine Ayre and Jane Erica Lock.²
     He was educated at University of Lethbridge, Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada^G.¹

     Rosemary Bray Ayre was born on 13 November 1950.¹ He is the son of Major John Bulley Bray Ayre and Margaret Isabel Lane.²
     He graduated from McGill University, Montréal, Quebec, Canada^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He lived in 2003 at Apt 507, 95 La Rose Avenue, Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada^G.¹

     Frank Nowell Lane was born on 4 January 1888.¹ He was the son of James Horsburgh Lane and Alice Young.² He died on 11 August 1918 at age 30 at Palestine^G, on active service.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd/7th Gurkha Rifles, Indian Army.¹

     Mildred Lane was born on 8 January 1879.¹ She was the daughter of James Horsburgh Lane and Alice Young.² She died on 3 October 1969 at age 90, unmarried.¹

     Isabel Young was born on 31 August 1860.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. James Nowell Young and Lady Frances Jemima Goodeve.² He died on 14 May 1943 at age 82, unmarried.¹

     Charlotte Erskine Goodeve was born in 1833.¹ She was the daughter of William James Goodeve and Lady Frances Jemima Erskine.² She married Charles Bell on 30 November 1857.¹ She died on 9 September 1859.¹
     From 30 November 1857, her married name became Bell.
