Admiral Arthur William Radford1 

Admiral Arthur William Radford was born on 27 February 1896 at Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.G.2 He married Miriam J. Caro, daughter of Simon Caro, in 1939.1 He died on 17 August 1973 at age 77 at Bethesda, Maryland, U.S.A.G.2
He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in the U.S. Navy.1 He was educated at U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland, U.S.A.G.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He was commander of the Carrier Division Eleven in 1943.2 He was commander of the Carrier Division Six in 1944.2 He was awarded the Navy Distinguished Service Medal.2 He was Commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet between 1949 and 1953.2 He was chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff between 1953 and 1957.1
