Sir Derek Milman, 9th Bt.1 
He was educated at Bedford School, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1938 in the Unattached List, Indian Army.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He fought in the Second World War, in Eritrea, North Africa and Burma, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1939 in the 3rd/2nd Punjab Regiment.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)2 He gained the rank of officer between 1947 and 1950 in the Pakistan Army.2 He gained the rank of officer in 1950 in the 1st Battalion, Bedforshire and Hertfordshire Regiment.2 He was an Instructor in 1957 at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He was Instructor between 1963 and 1968 at CD Staff College.1 He was Instructor between 1970 and 1983 at London Business School, London, EnglandG.1 He retired from the military, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the 3rd East Anglian Regiment.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Milman, of Levaton-in-Woodland, co. Devon [G.B., 1800] on 13 January 1990.2
