     Sir John de Pilkington was born circa 1363.¹ He was the son of Sir Roger de Pilkington.² He married Margaret de Verdon, daughter of Sir John de Verdon, in 1383.¹ He died on 16 February 1420/21.¹
     He was Lord of the Manors of Pilkington, Bury, Cheetham and Crompton.¹ He fought in the Battle of Agincourt in 1415.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Nottingham in 1419.¹

     Margaret de Verdon was the daughter of Sir John de Verdon.² She married, firstly, Hugh de Bradshagh before 1383.² She married, secondly, Sir John de Pilkington, son of Sir Roger de Pilkington, in 1383.¹ She died on 24 November 1436.¹

     Sir John Pilkington was born circa 1394.¹ He was the son of Sir John de Pilkington and Margaret de Verdon.² He married Elizabeth de Trafford, daughter of Sir Edmond de Trafford, in 1435.¹ He died on 23 February 1451, without issue.¹
     He was Lord of the Manors of Pilkington, Cheetham and Crompton.¹ He fought in the Battle of Agincourt in 1415.¹

     Elizabeth de Trafford was the daughter of Sir Edmond de Trafford.¹ She married, firstly, Sir John Pilkington, son of Sir John de Pilkington and Margaret de Verdon, in 1435.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Piers Legh, son of Sir Piers Legh and Joan Haydock, circa 10 October 1451.² She died on 4 April 1474.¹
     From 1435, her married name became Pilkington. From circa 10 October 1451, her married name became Legh.¹

     Edmund Pilkington is the son of Sir John de Pilkington and Margaret de Verdon.²
     He was ancestor of the Pilkingtons of Pilkington.¹

     Robert Pilkington was born circa 1398.¹ He was the son of Sir John de Pilkington and Margaret de Verdon.² He married Joan Rawson.¹ He died circa 1460.¹
     He lived at Sowerby, Yorkshire, England.¹ He lived at Bury, Lancashire, England.¹

     Henry Pilkington was the son of Sir John de Pilkington and Margaret de Verdon.² He died, young.¹

     Roger Pilkington was the son of Sir John de Pilkington and Margaret de Verdon.² He died, without issue.¹

     Katherine Pilkington is the daughter of Sir John de Pilkington and Margaret de Verdon.² She married Sir Henry Scarisbrick.¹
     Her married name became Scarisbrick.
