     Robert Paul Macneil was born on 21 March 1909.¹ He is the son of Paul Humphrey Macneil and Marion Nicholson Macnab.²

     Robert Lister Macneil, 25th of Barra was born on 10 December 1889.¹ He was the son of Roderick Ambrose Macneil, 24th of Barra and Elizabeth Dixon Binns.² He married, firstly, Kathleen Metcalf, daughter of Orlando Paul Metcalf, on 14 June 1923.¹ He married, secondly, Marie Stevens, daughter of Major Pierre Christie Stevens, on 5 September 1936.¹ He and Marie Stevens were divorced in 1946.¹ He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Strow, daughter of George Strow, in 1953.¹ He died on 25 June 1970 at age 80.¹
     He was an architect.¹ In 1914 he succeeded his father, when the chiefship devolved on him by tanistry (nomination.)¹ He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 27 May 1915.¹ He was a Trade advisor to the U.S. Government during the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1918 and 1919 in the Canadian Engineers.¹ In 1938 he completed the restoration of Kisimul Castle.¹ He was chairman of the Inventions Board.¹ He was founder of the American Committee for the Defence of British Homes.¹ He was a practising chairman of the British Purchasing Committee, New York between 1940 and 1942.¹ He wrote the book Castle in the Sea.¹ He wrote the book The Clan Macneil.¹ He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 25 May 1962.¹

     Florence Edith Macneil was born on 3 September 1876.¹ She was the daughter of Roderick Ambrose Macneil, 24th of Barra and Elizabeth Dixon Binns.² She died in January 1970 at age 93.¹

     Orlando Paul Metcalf lived at New York, U.S.A.¹

     Kathleen Metcalf was the daughter of Orlando Paul Metcalf.² She married Robert Lister Macneil, 25th of Barra, son of Roderick Ambrose Macneil, 24th of Barra and Elizabeth Dixon Binns, on 14 June 1923.¹ She died in 1933.¹
     From 14 June 1923, her married name became Macneil.

     Kathleen Elizabeth Macneil was born on 30 March 1924.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Lister Macneil, 25th of Barra and Kathleen Metcalf.² She married, secondly, Karl Tiedemann.¹ She married, firstly, Robert Craig Hutchison on 20 August 1945.¹ She and Robert Craig Hutchison were divorced.¹ She died in October 1994 at age 70.¹
     Her married name became Tiedemann.¹ From 20 August 1945, her married name became Hutchison.

     Robert Craig Hutchison married Kathleen Elizabeth Macneil, daughter of Robert Lister Macneil, 25th of Barra and Kathleen Metcalf, on 20 August 1945.¹ He and Kathleen Elizabeth Macneil were divorced.¹

     Joan Barbara Macneil was born on 13 July 1925.¹ She is the daughter of Robert Lister Macneil, 25th of Barra and Kathleen Metcalf.² She married Richard Blackburn Washington on 5 June 1943.¹
     From 5 June 1943, her married name became Washington.

     Richard Blackburn Washington married Joan Barbara Macneil, daughter of Robert Lister Macneil, 25th of Barra and Kathleen Metcalf, on 5 June 1943.¹
     He had a son and two daughters.¹

     Marie Stevens was the daughter of Major Pierre Christie Stevens.¹ She married, firstly, Frederick Cox Hicks before 1936.¹ She married, secondly, Robert Lister Macneil, 25th of Barra, son of Roderick Ambrose Macneil, 24th of Barra and Elizabeth Dixon Binns, on 5 September 1936.¹ She and Robert Lister Macneil, 25th of Barra were divorced in 1946.¹ She died in 1952.¹
     She financed the recovery of the Estate of Barra and re-settled it on the chiefly line.¹ From before 1936, her married name became Hicks.¹ From 5 September 1936, her married name became Macneil.
