Essex [U.K.] on 30 January 1951.¹ He was awarded the Officer, Order of Orange-Nassau of the Netherlands.¹ He was chairman and joint managing director Macpherson, Train & Co, Foreign and Colonial Food & Produce Importers and Exporters, London.¹

     Arthur Butcher lived at Heybridge Basin, Maldon, Essex, England.¹

     Lucy Butcher was the daughter of Arthur Butcher.² She married Thomas Macpherson, 1st Baron Macpherson of Drumochter, son of James Macpherson and Catherine Rollo Greig, on 29 January 1920.¹ She died in 1984.¹
     From 29 January 1920, her married name became Macpherson. After her marriage, Lucy Butcher was styled as Baroness Macpherson of Drumochter on 30 January 1951.
