     Arthur Francis John Mackworth was born on 7 September 1804.1 He was the son of Sir Digby Mackworth, 3rd Bt. and Jane Deere.2 He married Augusta Mary Gilbert, daughter of Joseph Gilbert and Matilda Anne Goefrel, on 14 July 1831.1 He died on 12 September 1835 at age 31.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Army.1
