     Sir Ewen Cameron was born on 23 June 1841 at Abertarff, Scotland.2 He was the son of William Cameron and Catherine Cameron.2 He married Josephine Elizabeth Houchen, daughter of John Houchen and Susannah Vautier, on 3 December 1878 at Thetford, Norfolk, England.1 He died on 10 December 1908 at age 67.1
     He was the London head of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1901.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.) in February 1902.2
