Hill at Australia.1 He married, firstly, Beatrice Marjorie Laugharne, daughter of Thomas Roland Lamb Polden Laugharne, on 25 April 1920.1 He and Beatrice Marjorie Laugharne were divorced in 1925.1 He died on 9 May 1942 at age 42, killed in action.3
     He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.) in 1940.1 He fought in the Second World War.3 He gained the rank of Acting Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force.1
