     Sir Philip Leigh Hare, 6th Bt. was born on 13 October 1922.¹ He was the son of Captain Edward Philip Leigh Hare and Lady Kathleen Florence Mary Stanhope.¹ He married Anne Lisle Nicholson, daughter of Major Geoffrey Nicholson, on 4 November 1950.¹ He died on 5 July 2000 at age 77.¹
     He was educated at Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Hare, of Stow Bardolph, Norfolk [U.K., 1818] on 30 October 1976.¹

     Anne Lisle Nicholson is the daughter of Major Geoffrey Nicholson.¹ She married Sir Philip Leigh Hare, 6th Bt., son of Captain Edward Philip Leigh Hare and Lady Kathleen Florence Mary Stanhope, on 4 November 1950.¹
     From 4 November 1950, her married name became Hare.¹ She lived in 2003 at Ivy Cottage, Willington, Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, England^G.²

     Major Geoffrey Nicholson was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)² He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)²
