Oliver Plunkett, 8th Baron Louth1

     Oliver Plunkett, 8th Baron Louth was born in 1668.1 He was the son of Matthew Plunkett, 7th Baron Louth and Jane Fitzgerald.2 He married Mabel Barnewall, daughter of Henry Barnewall, 2nd Viscount Barnewall of Kingsland.1 He died in 1707.1
     He was prevented from taking his seat in the Irish House of Lords on the grounds that he had not proved the reversal of his grandfather’s outlawry for rebellion in 1642, even though the grandfather had not been formally attainted.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baron Louth [I., 1541] in September 1689.1
